Anime Storyboards

Worked on boarding an anime. It was an exciting project. I had to draw on model, and was given a tight deadline. I was able to get the job out and liked by the clients.

MFS4

Some comic pages I worked on. I penciled, inked and colored these pages.

Music Video

Boarded this rocking tecno music video. Drawn and presented in 8 hours.

Graphic Design

Various graphical projects I have worked on. They range from icons to flyers at Dodger Stadium.  I used various tools, like Adobe Illustrator, pencils, Adobe Flash, and more. I try to make my designs fun.  What’s important to me is controlling the movement of the eye of the viewer.  I try to create visual guides that guide the viewer throughout the design, while at the same time telling a visual story. I hope to create a design that people enjoy seeing and want to look at.

Illustration

Various illustrations I’ve made for books, art shows, or other outlets.  I normally color in Adobe Photoshop. I am proficient in various skills. I can ink by hand, or digitally. I am a master of Photoshop, and know it in and out. Illustration is my specialty.

Vector Man Comic

A comic I illustrated from a story written by Adam Von Sharks. It was a fun comic and was printed and sold at comic conventions. I handled pencils, graphic design, and print production. Comics are lots of fun to do. Designing characters,  story telling, and graphic design all come together to make one great thing, which is awesome!

MFS and Other Comics

Man Fighting Street, a comic I write and draw. It is one of my favorite projects. Expect more samples to come. The other pages are from Splash of the Titians, and 24 comic I worked on with Chris Kawagiwa and others.

UGGS Let It Snow

I made the boards to sell the idea for this commercial, as well as set up the shots. I was given a tight deadline, as comes with most boards, yet I developed fully inked and toned boards. You can see the commercial here.  It is fun working in a fast paced dedicated environment.  And though the deadlines are tight, it’s great finishing so much original art. Also, the short deadlines also gives the opportunity to work on lots of  new exciting project.

HP Rollar King

An exciting job. I was given some freedom with the boards, as there were lots of decisions to be made before the commercial.  I planned the first version over night, I then handled each revision as the ideas become more grounded. Each revision had to be done quick, in a few hours, so that they could be presented to the producers. The final video can be seen here. I enjoy the playful nature of the commercial, and the humor really sells it to me.

Coffee Commercial

An overnight project for a coffee company in Seattle. The storyboard project began at 7pm and ended 8am the next morning.

About

I am an artist living in the Los Angeles area.  I am experienced and a fan of comics, video games, and film.  I have worked storyboarding, drawing comics, and designing mobile games.  Anything that involves storytelling makes me excited.  Graphic design I also find exciting, as I try to illustrate a visual story in my designs that lead the viewer and their desire to want the product.

I became a fan of the visual arts early on in preschool after reading a Captain America comic.  This comic made me want more and when I visited my first comic book shop, Geoffrey’s Comics, I bought X-men #1 drawn by Jim Lee.   After reading X-Men #1, I decided to work in the visual arts and have worked at it ever since.

My skills extend beyond illustration. I am an adept programer and know various programing languages: C++, AS3, html, CSS, and WordPress.  I know a variety of programs and even know video and sounds editing softwares. I can do graphical designs by hand and on computer. In truth, I enjoy learning and applying new skills.

If you’ve come this far, thank you for visiting my site and reading my ramblings.
